Climbing step by stepAfter you learn reading and writing in Module 4 there’s another module to wrap up all you’ve learned so far. Module 5 is all about having conversations on different subjects. It’s quite a range of subjects: Meeting people at the market, booking a hotel room, applying for a library card, ordering gas, renting a house etc. The check for module 5 is also different. With this check it’s the student who has to keep the converstation going. It was a lot of fun to have the check, because you can joke around a bit with the teacher. After studying an ‘in between module’ I’ve started module 6. It’s great that from module 6 onwards you can choose whatever module you want to study. I choose Introduction to Thailand. This is a mix of history and geography. It’s quite interesting, but quite hard too. There are stories you’ve to read and there’s no translation anymore. It will take a couple of weeks befor this one is finished. Nothing has changed since we started 7 months ago. Some days are good, some days are bad. It is encouraging while climbing the mountain to look back, because you can see where you came from. It’s a long way to the top, but we keep pushing.
